Rosetta Stone
The most recommended language learning software I believe is Rosetta Stone. There are thirty one (31) different languages which are available to learn with Rosetta Stone. The software is bought on a CD- ROM. It is very interactive and is not learned by translations but by interaction and immersion. It is appropriate for any age, which is very convenient for adults as it is more difficult to learn another language at that point in life (immersive environment). There are no translations or memorizations and is a carefully designed sequence of activities. It results in speaking another language confidently by pronouncing words correctly and building conversation skills, having fun by using puzzle solving and of course by engaging interactively. An interactive demo is also available online. Pictures are shown and the action that is being done is said in the language which is being learned. Other actions are said and you must choose the correct picture.
